Does anyone have an idea what theoretical max write throughput for a disk accessed via SRP vs. the same disk accessed locally?
If I have a Samsung 840 SSD mounted locally, I get reliable write throughput of about 500MB/s (as expected).
However, if I access the same disk over infiniband via the SRP initiator/target setup, my write-throughput drops to about 250MB/s.
Both systems are running ConnectX-3 with 56Gbs adapters across a 56Gbs switch. I was hoping the performance would be closer to the local write throughput.
Does anyone have any numbers for SRP initiator/target write throughput vs. a local mount?
